Soft Skills and Planning Workshop
This workshop will look at necessary soft skills needed to be successful in the teaching profession and in college. It will also provide you time and tips on planning for your semester. This event is open to all current RSCC Education majors and will count for 4 PD points.
**Students are responsible for bringing their own planner.
Teachers Supply Closet
This is a great volunteer opportunity for students to not only gain some PD points for class, but to also network with area teachers and gain valuable volunteer expereince. This event is co-hosted between the RSCC Education Department and the Roane County United Way. Students interested in volunteering can email bradshawsn@monkeybeads.net.

**Students will need to be on campus and report to O-224 by 8:30am EST.
Praxis Palooza hosted by STEA
This event is hosted by Tommie Leaders from STEA and is designed to provide students with skills to not only take the test, but to pass the test. Students who do not have a 21 or higher on their ACT, and are planning to obtain their AST degree, are required to take and pass the Praxis Core exam.
STEA Movie Night
Come and join your fellow education majors to watch a movie that focuses on teaching and education. Movie is TBD. Please bring your own snacks and come and plan to de-stress before finals begin.
EDU Orientation
All students enrolled in one of the following courses for the Spring 2024 semester will need to attend one of the mandatory orientation sessions on either the Roane or Oak Ridge campus.
This event will be to complete all paperwork requried for your observation or service learning hours.
